Easy Registration Guide for Personal Internet Banking

Registration for HSBC Bank (Cayman) Limited Personal Internet Banking system is simple, fast and secure. In order to get started, you need to have completed an application package and returned it to the Premier Banking Center. Once your application has been processed, you will receive a welcome letter, PIN and security device which you will need to complete the registration process.

Ready? - here's what you need to get started:

  • Your HSBC Bank (Cayman) Limited Debit Card
  • Your Debit Card PIN
  • Your Security Device

If you have not received your Debit Card, Debit Card PIN and/or Internet Banking PIN/Security device, please call (345) 914 7676 for assistance.

Step by Step - How to register

The registration process is simple to follow using the steps below.
We've included a preview of what you'll see to help you out.

Step 1 - Visit www.hsbc.ky

Select the 'Internet Banking' tab

Click on 'Register for Personal Internet Banking'.

Step 2 - Verify your identity

Enter your entire 16-digit Debit Card number, Issue number (see tip box below) and PIN.

Click 'Continue'.

Tip: Your issue number is a single digit number located on the front of your card to the right of your name

Step 3 - Select your Username

Enter your desired Username.

Click 'Continue'.

If the username you have selected is not unique you will see a list of other options.

Step 4 - Select your Security Details

Select one of the Memorable Questions from the pull down menu.

Enter your Memorable Answer.

Click 'Continue'.

You will get a confirmation page. Click ‘Yes’.

Important: You will need to remember your Username and Memorable Answer in order to logon in future.

Step 5 - Online Password Reset

Take a moment to set up your Online Password Reset Details.

Click 'Yes' to continue.

Select two Security Questions from the pull down menus and enter your security answers.

Click 'Continue'.

You will get an acknowledgement page. Click 'Continue'.

Special feature: This step will enable you to reset your own memorable question/answer or password should you forget them.

Step 6 - Terms and Conditions

Read the applicable Terms and Conditions carefully and click 'Accept' in order to continue with the registration process.

You will not be able to continue with registration without accepting the Terms and Conditions.

Step 7 – Registration Details

Check your account list and verify you want to view all of them using Personal Internet Banking. If you don't, just uncheck the boxes.

Now take a moment to give us your email address and mobile number (no dashes or spaces please) so that we can contact you.

Click 'Continue'.

You will see a recap of the information, take a quick look and if you're happy with it, click 'Confirm'. If not, simply click 'Change' and re-enter your information.

Click 'Close'

A popup will appear, click 'Yes'.

Step 8 - Registration Complete

You're almost there! Your registration is complete.

The next time you login you will be asked to activate your security token to complete login. If you have not received your security token please contact Personal Banking Support on (+1 345) 914 7676.

Step 9 – Initial Logon

When you have received your security token, please logon to Internet Banking to activate the token.

Just click on the 'Logon' button on www.hsbc.ky or navigate to the Internet Banking tab.

Enter the Username you selected during registration.

Click 'Continue'.

Step 10 – Memorable Answer

Enter your Memorable Answer.

Click 'Continue'.

Step 11 – Token Activation Setup

You must activate your Security Token at this time to access the services.

Please enter your serial number located on the back of the token. Do not use dashes.

Push the red button to generate your security code. Enter the code.

Click 'Continue'.

You will get a Token Activation Setup page. Click 'Continue'.

Congratulations!

You are now ready to use Personal Internet Banking.

Go ahead... you can view your accounts, pay bills, and make transfers in real time.

What about next time?

Just click on the 'Logon' button on www.hsbc.ky or navigate to the Internet Banking tab. Then, you will be prompted to enter your Username, Memorable answer and Security Token Code.
